Location
Villa Eleftherna is on a cliff by the northern edge of the village of the same name. It enjoys views of the neighbouring Ida Mountains and of the bay of  Rethymnon.
In the village there are 3 tavernas and a mini market.
A supermarket, a baker's and a butcher's shop are in Margarites (6 kms). There is also a doctor's office and a hairdresser.

There is also a pharmacy, and a very good restaurant.
Iraklion airport is 91 kms away, Hania airport 87 kms.
With respect to the winding character of Cretan roads, transfer times from and to the airports must not be underestimated.
